A Couple of LM386 Lunch Box Amp

Here is my build using a tin lunchbox purchase at dollar store during x-mas season.
This version contains the Noisy Cricket vero layout from tagboards. The output is low compared to other online posts, however when hit with a pedal the volume increases considerably.





The Noisy cricket includes a pre amp stage I am thinking of replacing with a onboard pedal.
In order to customize, I am going to breadboard and experiment with the circuit. Below is a super-easy-to-follow guideline of optimizing the circuit.

Below are some notes on the LM386 chip.

  • LM386N-1: 0.325 Watts
  • LM386N-3: 0.700 Watts
  • LM386N-4: 1.00 Watts
