pedals

2018.01.15.Looper Extension Pedalboard:
And yet another pedalboard. This one houses the Boss RC-3 looper and Boss Octave OC-2. The idea is to use this board for home doodles. The looper can be used for creating loops myself, or loading it with backingtracks. The Octave is for adding bass lines when making my own loops. The middle unit is a DIY FS-6 with the top stomp controlling stop/tap tempo and the bottom stop controlling memory bank up/down selection. It was built using parts from Tayda and plastic enclosures from Daiso.

2018.01.03.Smaller Pedalboard:
Over the year end holiday break, I put together another DIY pedal board sized to fit 4 mini-pedals with ease of transport in mind. The base has cavities to install 9v batteries to power each pedal individually.

2017.12.26.Small Pedalboard:
Sold all of the Kokko pedals on Reverb.com (except the tuner) for a $5 profit. I restarted after discovering Mosky clone pedal and built this compact pedal board. The price of the pedals range from $20-$30 with shipping included. They are supposedly "inspired" by famous pedals such as Fulltone OCD and Xotic BB Preamp, so I decided to give them a whirl. I figure they can't be any worse than my DIY clones with 10,000% less hassle of building them. The Morley volume pedal is a great fit for this small size and it is passive without requiring any power. The lower tier with the volume pedal, chorus, reverb and two delays is my attempt to address ambient swells.

Signal chain:
Guitar>Tuner>Compressor(on order)>GreenDrive>Obsessive>Plexi>Vol>Reverb>Delay>Delay>Amp

The power brick is a Mosky DC Core 10 with lots of LED's emitting tons of light, so I placed a piece of white cardboard along the backside to reflect the light onto the pedals which would come in handy in dark situations. All I need is a gig now in a shady old bar (and a band to play with...).

2017.11.19.Large Pedalboard:
I have two size cases, this being the larger. I have set this version up with many delay pedals for ambient experimentation. Also I have been trying out the chinese clone pedals, here with the "BLUE DELAY" Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay clone and "OBSESSIVE" Fulltone OCD clone. These clone pedals go for $20 shipped relieving me of making DIY clones.

PedalBoard using BOSS RC-2 Loop Station & OC-2 Octave:
I bought a Boss RC-2 Looper for practicing at home. Before I just used Boss-DD-7 or TCE Flashback looping feature, but was sold by some YouTube videos showing the Looper. I want to buy the RC-3 because of the larger sampling capacity, however this RC-2 was available for 5000 JPY plus 510 shipping. I put the Octave OC-2 in front of it to sample in bass riffs for jamming. The white box is a diy dirt box that includes a MP-Sweet Honey OD >> MIA CruchBox >> BJFE Arctic White Fuzz. The case is a Buffalo Router Box I bought for 108 JPY in Akihabara. I just gutted the inside and loading it with dirt pedal hardware. When I stomp the MP-SHOD, instead of bypass it is output to the Boss TU-70 tuner. I plan to make a TapTempo box for the RC-2 like the Dual Boss FS-6U with a stereo jack.
